This series,
The Three Virtues for Yokoshi,
brings together the monthly teachings of Oshienushisama, the second
spiritual leader of Sukyo Mahikari,
for 1987 through 1989. Volume one
is devoted to gratitude, volume
two (currently under translation)—to acceptance of the
will of God, and volume three—to humility.
The teachings in this series convey the earnest prayer of Oshienushisama
that all yokoshi will attain divine nature. Oshienushisama lovingly
taught that gratitude, acceptance of the will of God, and humility
are essential virtues for all who practice faith of directing oneself
toward God.
The teachings and art of True Light
can be likened to the two wheels of a cart. If we are to make progress
on the path of faith directed toward God, it is important that these
“two wheels” turn in unison. Neither can be neglected.
It is our hope that this translation will inspire yokoshi to pursue
a more God-centered way of life and thus elevate themselves spiritually.
